Dayton’s boozy train ‘The Polar Bear Express’ is back for its third season

‘Tis the season to combine two of your passions: Drinking alcohol on Dayton’s pedal wagon and reveling in the merriment of the holiday season. Thankfully, Pedal Wagon Dayton’s Polar Bear Express is back in business.

>> Local crafty treasures await at Handmade Holiday Dayton

This pedal-powered “winter adventure” takes participants through festive streets to Dayton’s favorite bars and restaurants to enjoy season specials. The themed pedal wagon rides run now through the end of February.

>> The best Christmas light displays across the region

Pedal Wagon Dayton is BYOB with restrictions. Beer and wine are the only permitted beverages on the wagon, no glass or hard alcohol and if anyone aboard is under 21, no alcohol on-board is allowed. Booze may be purchased during stops at bars and restaurants, but it may not be brought back on the wagon.

>> The best way to spread Christmas cheer is spending a day with Buddy the Elf

For larger groups (12+ people), they recommend booking a private wagon. For smaller groups, they recommend booking seats on a public wagon. A minimum of 8 people is needed to launch public wagons.

The Polar Bear Express pickup location is at 28 N. Patterson Blvd. in Dayton.
