Musician cancels all tour dates through October citing health problems

Musician Gregg Allman has canceled all tour dates through October, including an upcoming show with ZZ Top this month at the Rose Music Center.

The sold-out concert Aug. 16, will still go on as scheduled and the venue will announce a new act early next week. according to a statement from Rose Music Center at The Heights.

Allman is receiving care at the Mayo Clinic for “serious health issues,” but his illness was not specified.

“I want to thank my fans and friends for supporting me while I rest up and focus on getting better and back on the road as soon as I can,” Allman stated in the release. “I’ve been working hard with my band, my pride and joy, to play our music for everyone. We’ll see y’all in October.”

Allman’s first concert back will be on Oct. 29, at the Laid Back Festival at the Lakewood Amphitheatre in Atlanta, according to the release.
