3 cheers! Dayton, Beavercreek bars named most beloved in state

Three Dayton-area bars deserve a round on the house.

A Cleveland Plain Dealer article points out a fact that we already knew: some of the most beloved bars in the state are right here.

The newspaper features the state bars with the 50 best Yelp reviews in an new article.

It counted bars with 40 or more reviews on Yelp, excluding bars “with a handful of outlier reviews that would throw off their average.”

The Dayton bars among the state's big dawgs may or may not surprise you. Here they are.

Kings Table Bar and Grill2348 Grange Hall Road,  Beavercreek

>> Why Kings Table sells more than 1,860,000 tots every year

What they say:

The pool tables and dart boards give this tavern a dive bar feel, but the 250 beers on their drink menu — including more than 50 drafts — make it seem more like the kind of brewery you would find in Cleveland or Columbus. Kings Table is the best of both worlds.

They forgot to mention the tots (gasp!), but we'll let it slide.

Lucky's Tap Room
520 East 5th St., Dayton

>> New Mexican restaurant now open

What they say:

At first glance, Lucky's Tap Room in Dayton's Oregon District doesn't look like the kind of place you would go if you're gluten free or vegan, but the bar has plenty of dining options that cater to different dietary restrictions. Yelp reviewers also love the brunch menu, the drink selection and the welcoming atmosphere. It's also the official place to watch Cleveland Browns games in Dayton.

>> Why Slyder’s burgers are among the best in Dayton
