Emily Mortimer and Ben Whishaw play the grown children from the original film -- Jane and Michael Banks. Lin Manuel Miranda plays a lamplighter named Jack, ScreenRant reported. He is joined by other big names in entertainment like Colin Firth, Meryl Streep and Angela Lansbury. And Dick Van Dyke, who portrayed Bert in the original, is back once again, playing Mr. Dawes Jr. VanDyke also played Mr. Dawes Senior in the original film.

This time the movie is set in Depression-era London after the loss of Michael's wife. Mary arrives to help the struggling family "rediscover the joy and wonder missing in their lives," according to IMDB's plot summary submitted by Disney.

The movie will hit theaters on Dec. 19, 2018.
