Good news, Cracker Barrel fans! The beloved restaurant chain recently announced that they’ve begun rolling out bone-in fried chicken at all 660 of its locations nationwide.
The new entrée will feature a four-piece half chicken including a breast, leg, wing and thigh, two made-from-scratch sides, and a choice of biscuits or cornbread. Currently, it’s only available at just 45 locations, but you can count on it being at all of the chain’s restaurants by next summer.
“We’ve been working hard to bring this new fried chicken entrée to our guests, a process that began nearly a year ago with product development and testing,” a Cracker Barrel spokesperson told Southern Living.” Today, we’re focused on introducing it to more stores, which requires multiple new pieces of kitchen equipment as well as ensuring all employees across the system are trained properly in order to provide the best experience for our guests.”
Nation’s Restaurant News reports that more than 170 Cracker Barrels across the country will be offering the finger-licking chicken platter by Thanksgiving 2018.
“We are excited about how much the guests love it,” Cracker Barrel CEO Sandra Cochran told Restaurant News.
