Tom Hanks gives Dayton, Wright State shout-out on Stephen Colbert

Want to get props from a movie star? Name a building in his or her name.

Academy Award-winning actor gave Dayton and Wright State University mad props on "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert " on Thursday.

The show airs on 11:30 p.m. WHIO-TV 7.

Hanks was in town earlier this week to help dedicate Wright State University’s newly renovated Tom Hanks Motion Pictures Center and celebrate the school’s $150 million fundraising campaign.

His film "Hologram for the King" is playing at the Neon movie theater, 130 E. Fifth St in downtown Dayton.
