Wine festival, holiday shopping, flag football: 5 events to check out Nov. 4-10

Whether you are ready to get into the holiday season or looking for a distraction from it, here are five local events to check out beginning Sunday, Nov. 4:

1. Perfect North Slopes Annual Sale and Swap

As we inch closer to ski season, our own Midwestern Perfect North Slopes is hosting its annual swap and sale where skiers can find great deals on clothing, helmets, goggles, gloves, helmets, and other ski and snowboard equipment. 2. Turkey Bowl Fall Festival

The annual Turkey Bowl is a flag football tournament played at Paul Brown Stadium. For the first time in 2018, the Bowl will be accompanied by a two-day festival in the parking lot, with beer, food trucks, food booths from Cincinnati restaurants, a DJ, and kids’ activities. Become one of the few people on planet Earth to tailgate a flag football game at Paul Brown Stadium, 1 Paul Brown Stadium, Cincinnati, on Nov. 4 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. There is no admission cost. 3. “Peter & The Wolf”

The Cincinnati Ballet will tell this classic Russian children’s story about a brave, bullied boy who takes on a fearsome wolf with the help of his friend, a duck. 4. Jungle Jim’s International Wine Festival

It’s hardly surprising that the area’s largest wine retailer should throw an annual wine festival. Amateurs and enthusiasts alike can choose from over 400 wines from 90 wineries. Naturally, the wines will be paired with gourmet appetizers by professional chefs. Per usual, there is a Connoisseur ticket option, which includes an international dinner and open bar. 5. Girl Boss Holiday Pop-Up

This Christmas shopping event also celebrates female entrepreneurs. Browse the products of over 30 woman-owned businesses.
