Celebrate local music with first ever two-day bash at Yellow Cab Tavern

Eight local bands will perform

The Yellow Cab Tavern will host a weekend celebration of local music.

The first annual Local Music Day bash will be a two-day event featuring live performances by eight local bands Friday Nov. 8 and Saturday, Nov. 9.

Friday’s performers include Roley Yuma, Grenades!?, YARDBOSS, and Black Sire. On Saturday, Lioness, Moira & Tino, Human Cannonball, and Smug Brothers will take the stage.

“It’s funny how our first shot at this already spans across two nights,” said Local Music Day Founder Darryl Robins. “We originally planned Local Music Day as a single-night event, but so many great local bands with new releases wanted to participate that we just had to expand upon our original idea.”

New releases will be available from Overthought Musik, Roley Yuma, MOIRA & TINO, Me & Mountains, Smug Brothers, Andy Gabbard, Mike Bankhead Music & The Paint Splats, Dirty/Clean, Human Cannonball, Sympathetic Buzz, XL427, The Boxcar Suite, Crossfade Rivals, and more.

“The Miami Valley has such a vibrant music scene. It’s really something special,” Robins said. “Local Music Day gives everyone in Dayton and its surrounding communities an amazing chance to hear incredible local music and pick up some fantastic original recordings.”

The event will begin at 7 p.m. both nights. All ages are welcome and guests under 18 require a guardian.

Yellow Cab’s Pizza Bandit food truck will sell food.

Advance two-day tickets are available here for $15. One-day tickets will be available for $10 at the door.
