Celebrate this brewpub’s 1-year anniversary with beer, music and more

We can’t believe it’s been a year already.

The Wandering Griffin Brewpub is celebrating its One-Year Birthday Party from 11 a.m.-11 p.m. Dec.  9.

>> There is an actual labyrinth being planned for downtown Dayton

The event will include live music and their latest new beer tapping.
"We're going to have a couple of our collaboration beers on tap for the birthday party," said Brian Young, owner of Wandering Griffin. "While we've been getting our own brewing equipment in place, we've been busy brewing our own beer with the help of a number of Dayton's craft breweries."

>> New 'Arts Annex' planned for downtown Dayton

The exclusive tapping for the One-Year Birthday Party will be the "Adam needs a Figleaf to cover his Wandering Coconuts" Porter, brewed in collaboration with Figleaf Brewing Company in Middletown.

“Co-owner George Shaw has been rolling out a number of the recipes for our first beers,” Young said. “This will be the most of our beers that we’ve had on tap at any one time, so we’re really excited for it.”

>> New store opens at the Greene in Beavercreek

The event will feature live music all day, with sets from Nothing But Treble, Todd the Fox, The Kyleen Downes Band and Harold Hensley of The Repeating Arms.
"We've been having some great Dayton musicians come out to play solo sets on Friday and Saturday nights, so for the party we got a few of their full bands," Young said. "It's going to be a great time full of locally made beer, food and music!"
No tickets are required. More information can be found on the Facebook event page.
