Dayton’s rooftop Beatles tribute returns this weekend with ‘Come Together’ and ‘Stay Together’

Twist and shout as The Yellow Cab Tavern turns into a yellow submarine. This is an event Beatles fans will not want to miss.

On Saturday Aug. 17 and now, Sunday, Aug. 18, Yellow Cab, for the second year, will host Come Together, an all-Dayton Beatles tribute band including Nathan Peters, Brian Hoeflich, Kent Montgomery, Philip Caviness and Patrick Himes.

Saturday presale tickets are sold out, though there will be a limited number of $10 tickets still available at the door on Saturday, so you will want to arrive early. There are still presale tickets available to the second show on Sunday, however Sunday does not include the Stay Together after-party.

“We couldn’t have been happier with the response last year,” said David Obenour, concert promoter. “Coming together in just a couple of months time, it was a great show  and we’re excited to bring it back for an encore.”

Come Together features members of The Last Waltz and Dayton bands The Boxcar Suite, Lioness, The New Old-fashioned, The Big Wazu, Bribing Senators, Cherry Lee and the Hot Rod Hounds and many more. The band plays music from all eras of The Beatles with a lifetime of appreciation and the experience of playing in many of their own wholly original projects.

New this year, immediately following Come Together on Saturday will be Stay Together, a concert inside Yellow Cab Tavern with music from the bands that the members of Come Together regularly play with.

“With so many people coming out and enjoying the Beatles tunes, we saw an opportunity to introduce them to some great local music as well,” Obenour said. “Your ticket is good for both shows, so we invite you to not only come together but stay together for a great night here in Dayton.”
