Hawthorne Heights is back for fifth annual Dayton is for Lovers music festival

If you’re looking for a music festival with Dayton-based bands, then you’re in luck. The 5th annual Dayton is for Lovers Gem City Music Festival returns to the Yellow Cab Tavern this weekend.

The all-ages show kicks off at 6 p.m. Friday, July 12, when doors open, with live music starting shortly after.

"Hometown shows are truly special to us and we are excited to be able to make this happen for the fifth year in a row! " Hawthorne Heights posted on the event Facebook page.

The lineup — to be set the day of the show — includes :

Hawthorne Heights, Nightbeast, RIND, Heavy Things, Weathervein, Seth Canan and the Carriers, Crosley Court, Life In Idle, Blackwater, Goodnightgoodnight, Sidekick Complex and Paper Soldiers.

The band is also making a very limited number of T-shirts commemorating the fifth Dayton is For Lovers event.  Shirts can be ordered at HawthorneHeightsStore.com and be picked up at the show.

Yellow Cab has a bar for those of age with identification and there will also be food trucks on site.
