How ‘Crazy!’ CeeLo Green playing concert in nearby 568-seat theater

The Grammy Award-winning artist who helped redefined the word “Crazy” is set to perform in a 568-seat venue right here in the Miami Valley.

The CeeLo Green Holiday Hits Tour is scheduled to stop at Holland Theatre, 127 E. Columbus Avenue in Bellefontaine  Sunday, Dec. 8.

The family-friendly show starts at 7 p.m.

Green is expected to play his hits and songs from his 2012 Grammy-nominated Christmas album Cee Lo's “Magic Moment.”

MacKenzie Myers, an administrative assistant at the theater established in 1931, said about 500 seats have already been sold for the show.

“We kind of jumped on the opportunity to have him here,” Myers said.

Green was a member of the Georgia-based hip-hop group Goodie Mob and part of the duo Gnarls Barkley with Danger Mouse.

A singer, songwriter and producer, Green became a household name with a list of songs that includes “Forget You,” “Crazy” and “Bright Lights Bigger City.”

Green was a judge and coach on “The Voice” from 2011 to 2014.

The concert is sponsored by Brewfontaine, Small Nation, Citizens Federal Savings and Loan, and Six Hundred Downtown.
