Thunderbirds coming to Kettering this Thursday

A legendary group of fly boys will join a country music singer known for the "Redneck Life" at a celebration of the military Thursday night.

The Fraze Pavilion just announced that the United States Air Force Thunderbirds will appear at its Hometown Heroes Military Appreciation Night headlined by country music singer Chris Janson.

Concert goers will be able meet and take photos with the Thunderbirds from 7:15 p.m. to 7:50 p.m. at the venue located at  695 Lincoln Park Blvd. in Kettering.

The Thunderbirds will be at the Vectren Dayton Air Show this weekend. 

General admission tickets are on sale now on etix.com or at Fraze FanFare in Town and Country Shopping Center, 300 E. Stroop Road, Kettering.

They are $25 each.

FIRST REPORT ( June 10, 2019: Chris Janson will headline Military Appreciation Night

Country music singer and songwriter Chris Janson will headline the fourth Military Appreciation Night at the Fraze Pavilion Thursday, June 20.

Janson is a multi-instrumentalist artist who won the 2019 ACM Video of the Year award for his single “Drunk Girl.” His sophomore album, “Everybody,” produced his second No. 1 hit single, “Fix A Drink,” the chart-topping follow up to his No. 1 debut, “Buy Me A Boat.” He is also the youngest living member of the Grand Ole Opry.

For the last three years, thousands of local Airmen filled the Fraze Pavilion for Military Appreciation Night at the Fraze, an exciting concert in celebration of their service to our country.

“The Dayton Region is known for its support of our local service men and women, and Military Appreciation Night is one more way for us to thank them for their commitment and sacrifice,” said Jeff Hoagland, president and CEO of the Dayton Development Coalition.

 

Up to 3,000 tickets will be donated to Airmen and their families as well as other Wright-Patt military personnel through the base. Tickets also will be donated to personnel at the Springfield Air National Guard Base and local veterans. The concert will feature a military vocalist singing the National Anthem.
