2 Dayton-area breweries to release special bottlings

Two local breweries have special bottle releases in the coming days.

Eudora Brewing Company will release its Peanut Butter Holy Cacao at 4 p.m. this Saturday, Feb. 11. The brewery will sell 22-ounce bottles for $10 per bottle, limit two per person.

“We plan on having a small amount on tap for a very limited time,” Eudora founder Neil Chabut said.

“Peanut Butter Holy Cacao is our popular ‘chocolate milk porter’ early winter seasonal, infused with peanut butter,” Chabut said. “It’s a great Valentine’s Day gift.”

Yellow Springs Brewery will host a bottle release starting at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 15, when the brewery’s taproom will release 22-ounce bottles of its Robust Porter. The beer also will be priced at $10 per bottle, and the beer will be on tap in the taproom.

Bottles will be distributed in the Dayton area the following week, Yellow Springs Brewery’s founders said in a release.

Robust Porter is brewed with locally grown malt from Davidson Family Growers in New Carlisle, Ohio. Brewmaster Jeffrey McElfresh also added chocolate malt, golden malt and Warrior hops to give this beer the traditional chocolate, earthy and bitter notes most commonly associated with the style, the brewery said.
