The dog 'paw'ty of the century is happening this weekend at Beavercreek's Decoy Art Center.

All furry friends and their owners are invited to the art center for a Summer Art PAW-ty, an afternoon of "pet paw art", local pooch merchandise shopping, food trucks and more. The event is free, however, art projects range from $12 to $20 each while supplies last.

Special guests attending the 'paw'ty include Gem City CatfePupkerchiefUpbeat K9Zombie Dogz food truck and Stewart pet foods. Free dog food samples will be provided by the event's sponsor, Stewart pet foods.

The 'paw'ty is happening rain or shine, according to the event's organizers. All proceeds from the afternoon "really does all go to the dogs" through Ellie's Rainy Day Fund, which works through veterinarian referral so those short on funds whose pets need emergency and specialty medical attention can get it.

All animals must be kept on a leash or in a carrier.
