When rain puts a damper on your plans, you change the plans.
One of Dayton’s most beloved festivals — famous for food prepared over countless hours by dedicated volunteers — is offering drive-up service again today so you can grab some festival food to take home.
Both the Dayton Greek Festival and the Italian Fall Festa offered to-go options on Saturday. The Italian Fall Festa has extended that promotion through today beginning at 11:30 a.m.
The Dayton Greek Festival is planning to operate as usual today. No carryout plans as of this morning, but admission is FREE.
And for those who don’t mind a little rain, many festivals are still on in addition to the Greek and Italian celebrations!

ITALIAN FALL FESTA CARRYOUT EXTENDED
Due to the rain, festival organizers are continuing a “Grab and Go” order line beginning at 11:30 a.m. today with all your Festa Favorites including pasta dinners, pizza, meatball, Italian sausage and Italian beef sandwiches. Calzones, Muffaletta and Sicilian sandwiches, Caprese, Italian bean salad, desserts and more. Just drive-up, place your order and volunteers will do the rest. You don’t have to leave your vehicle! Bring cash, as no credit cards are accepted.
The festival runs through 8 p.m. today. Today is the famous spaghetti and meatball dinner, and a limited-edition Warped Wing brew, Limone Lager, is available as supplies last. There’s a spaghetti-eating contest at 3:30 p.m. as well.
