1st-ever ‘Spring Wine Affair’ to benefit Darke County Humane Society

The first-ever Darke County Spring Wine Festival will be held in Greenville on March 21 and will benefit the Darke County Humane Society.

The festival will be  held in two separate sessions, afternoon and evening, inside the “Paws Bingo Hall,” the Darke County Humane Society's fundraising center at 848 Martin St.  in Greenville. The afternoon session runs from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., the evening session from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., with VIP tickets available to gain entrance one hour earlier.

Tickets are $25 for general admission, which includes 8 wine-sampling tickets and a logo wine glass to keep, or $30 for VIP tickets, which include 10 wine-tasting tickets, a food voucher and early admission. Between now and March 14, tickets are discounted by $5 ($20 for general admission, $25 for VIP admission).

The following wineries will offer samples of their wines: The Winery at Versailles, Meranda-Nixon Winery, Olde Schoolhouse Vineyard & Winery, Dragonfly Vineyard & Wine Cellar, Old Mason Winery and Vineyard, A. R. Winery and Brandeberry Winery.

The event also will feature several local craft and gift vendors.

The Darke County Humane Society is a non-profit, no-kill facility that operates on private donations and fund -raisers.
