Fort Ancient event will help ‘un-mask’ your inner child

As a child, a stick or a cool leaf found outside while playing could be so much more with just a little imagination.

Fort Ancient Earthworks and Nature Preserve in Oregonia is helping facilitate that creativity once again during their upcoming Mask Making from Natural Objects event on Saturday, July 7.

The activity is a unique opportunity to separate from the usual Sunday entertainment and immerse yourself and your kids in a memorable afternoon of imagination.

During the event, participants will learn to consider the many shapes, sizes and textures of objects that have personal significance that might not always be recognized, according to a Fort Ancient press release. The event is for anyone from 8 years old to adults that have any interest at all in art, geology or history.
