Normally, our 16th and 21st birthdays and celebrated because of their significance. But Omega Music, in downtown Dayton, finds significance with a number that's normally overlooked: 33 1/3.

“It’s a remarkable landmark for any independent business and a meaningful number in music with 33 1/3rd RPM on LPs,” said Alex Staiger, owner of Omega Music. “So we wanted to put together something special to mark the occasion, for us and for our customers.”

You can be part of Omega's 33 1/3 birthday bash on Friday, Aug. 5 at the Omega Music store, 318 E 5th St, in downtown Dayton.

To commemorate the occasion, on Friday, there will be foodtrucks behind the shop, including Son of a Biscuit, live music inside, the kickoff to the new limited edition sticker program and three and a third exclusive tshirts for sale.

“We’re really having fun with the concept,” Staiger said. “So at this event, we’ll have three exclusive tshirts for sale and then a special ‘third’ of a shirt in the form of a crop top, onesie or handkerchief, available only with the other shirts as a $33.33 bundle.”
