Here’s how to party Oregon District style for St. Patrick’s Day

Live in the neighborhood or just really determined to spend all of St. Patrick’s Day in the Oregon District hopping from one bar to another?

We hear you. The OD is a sight to see when the leprechauns come out. Here are all the of festivities happening on and very close to Fifth Street.

The weekend-long shenanigans kick off at lunchtime Saturday and continue all day Sunday. The tent opens at 6 p.m. for a VIP experience with local rock cover band Stranger performing. Music begins at 8 p.m.

On Sunday, admission begins at a very early 4:30 a.m. for another day of festivities that include breakfast and Guinness and a full day of entertainment including Celtic music, rock music, Celtic dancers and more. The party ends at 1 a.m.

Saturday is St. Practice Day at Blind Bob’s. Come pre-game for St. Paddy's Day with Back Stabbath and The Big WAZU. On Sunday,

you can shamROCK the night away and jam out to the Red Hot Rebellion and the 500 Miles to Memphis band in their triumphant return to Blind Bob’s.

WHEN: 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. Saturday, March 16 and 9 p.m. to midnight Sunday, March 17.

🍀Gem City St. Patrick's Day at Yellow Cab Tavern

This family friendly event will feature music, crafts, dancing, food trucks and more. There will be a kids craft area, St. Patrick's Day Ceili dancers and food truck. Performances by: Great Northern String Band Maria & Burris Dixon Miami Valley Pipe & Drum, OldNews, Vivian and Gem City School of Irish Dance. Pre-sale tickets will not be available.

🍀Brews n' Breakfast St. Patrick's Day Kickoff at Troll Pub

Troll Pub Dayton is this year's host for Dayton Firefighters Local 136 St. Patricks Day Breakfast. This is open to all police, fire, nurses, and EMS personnel. Breakfast will include French toast, biscuits and gravy, fruit, eggs, juice, coffee and soft drinks. RSVP required.

There will be exclusive beer specials, a 50/50 raffle, and other prizes given away throughout the morning! Festivities kick off at 7 a.m. and the cost is $10, with a portion of the proceeds going to DFD supported foundations.
