"Dayton is a very diverse city," said Gabriela Pickett, an event organizer and the owner of The Missing Peace Art Space at 234 S. Dutoit St.
“We can learn so much from each other. We have all lost a loved one, so it allows the entire community, regardless of how many differences we may have, to come together. We all celebrate the same thing.”

Expect crazy face paint and elaborate dresses and ‘floats’ at Dayton’s celebration, which begins at 2 p.m. with a pre-party festival at Yellow Cab, 700 E. Fourth St., Dayton.
The pre-party will include storytelling, games and face painting.

The parade will leave Yellow Cab at 4 p.m. for the Oregon District and ends at The Missing Peace Art Space for dancing, gallery tours and food.
