Kettering will be the center of the a cappella world this weekend

That sound you hear might just be Kettering.

The city will once again be the center of the a cappella world.

More than 60 high school and college a cappella groups will converge on Fairmont High School for the Kettering National A Cappella Festival, Friday and Saturday, Nov. 10-11.

The event is the largest of its kind in the United States.

The event features a concert with student groups and Freedoms Boombox at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Voice Play with Fusion and Eleventh Hour, Fairmont's student groupat 7 p.m. Saturday.

Freedom's Boombox is a trio that sings pop music. VoicePlay was featured on NBC's hit show "The Sing Off.”

Tickets are $5 for Kettering students and can be purchased at the door with a valid student ID.
