Even reindeer need to rest sometimes.

Santa Claus is scheduled to be delivered by helicopter shortly before noon Saturday, Dec. 7 to visit the Skyline Chili at 8906 Kingsridge Drive behind the Dayton Mall in Miami Twp. Santa will be there for a meet-and-greet event with families from noon to 2 p.m.

Weather permitting, the helicopter carrying Santa will land in an empty lot next to the Dayton Mall Skyline Chili, a spokeswoman for the  Cincinnati-based restaurant chain said in a release.

“During his visit, Santa will spend two hours listening to Christmas wishes from Skyline Chili customers, give each child a small gift and pose for photos,” according to the release.

Restaurant officials will distribute free kids’ meals coupons to families as they leave the restaurant.

While the helicopter landing will occur only if weather permits, the visits with Santa and the distribution of coupons and gifts will occur regardless of weather, a Skyline spokeswoman said.
