Local benefit dinner to support Wounded Warrior Project

A benefit dinner to support the Wounded Warrior Project will be held in Kettering on April 1, and organizers say they expect the dinner to become an annual event.

The event will run from 7 p.m. to midnight April 1 at the Presidential Banquet Center, 4548 Presidential Way in Kettering. It will include a sit-down dinner, entertainment, guest speakers, and guests of honor, in addition to a silent auction of donated items. Dress attire will be semi-formal to formal.

Tickets for the event are $50 per person, or $85 per couple. Sponsorships of $250 (Bronze), $500 (Silver), $1,000 (Gold), and $2,500 (Platinum), come with two tickets to the benefit.

The Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) serves veterans, service members, and their families who incurred a physical or mental injury, illness, or wounds related to their military service on or after Sept. 11, 2001.

Offering a variety of programs and services, the WWP is equipped to serve veterans with every type of injury, from the physical to the invisible wounds of war, organizers of the event said.
