"A benefit for the Viking Boosters Association, we wanted to involve as many Miamisburg businesses as possible," said Brian Johnson, event organizer. "Both breweries will have their beer for sale inside and out, Rivertown Chili will be hosting the first annual Cinder Path Chili Cookoff and Tasting and we've got Kona Ice, plus The Hamburger Wagon and Underdogs, both from Miamisburg, serving up great food all afternoon! It's been great seeing the response the Block Party has gotten since the first one last year. There's actually going to be a car show along South Second Street that day too, so come on out and see all that's happening down in Miamisburg!"
Party-goers are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or a blanket for a great day outside in the ‘Burg at this free event.
Local vendors will be selling one-of-a-kind items and treats all day, while a cornhole tournament and live music start at 12 p.m. and will go until 8 p.m. The music lineup includes:
• 12 p.m.- 2 p.m. — Max Nunery of The Repeating Arms
• 2 p.m.- 4 p.m. — Charlie and Amanda Jackson
• 4 p.m.- 6 p.m. — John Dubuc's Guilty Pleasures
• 6 p.m.- 8 p.m. — TRUK
