All nine days of the fair are packed with hour-by-hour happenings. There is so much going on that it would be impossible to do it all in one day. That’s why a nine-day pass for only $20 is well worth it, when a daily pass is $7. Children ages 11 and younger are admitted for free with a paying adult.
Some events and entertainment happenings that we just can’t wait for are the Junior Fair Canine King & Queen Contest on Friday, Aug. 17, the classic harness racing in the grandstand on Saturday, Aug. 18 and “Chicken Dress Up” on Wednesday, Aug. 22.

“The Great Darke County Fair received the blue ribbon award this year for excellence in the harness racing program. Thank you to those of you that helped us receive this award this year. It is an honor to be recognized as one of the top fairs in the country,” read an article on the fair’s website.
