More than 70 beers from 30 breweries at this Halloween-inspired craft beer event

The old DP&L steam plant will rise from the grave this weekend for a Halloween-themed craft beer fest.  🍻👻

The Dayton Steam Plant, 617 E. Third St. in Webster Station, will host the Ohio Craft Brewers Association Ale-O-Ween from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 21.

It will be the first public event at the renocated facility, the assocation says. The event is formerly known as Dia de las Cervezas.

Built in 1907, the former Dayton Power & Light electric-generating facility has been renovated for use as an event venue, carefully preserving the unique architectural features such as high ceilings, exposed beams, brick walls and iconic floor-to-ceiling windows.

The plant’s renovation is part of the transform of the Webster Station neighborhood from an industrial and warehouse district into a hot spot for tech firms, housing and shopping.
