NEW EVENT: Drink local craft brews, shop, eat, listen to live music under the stars tonight

Great news for night owls who also love to shop local.

A brand new market concept, The Starlight City Market, is coming to Star City Brewing Company in Miamisburg every second Friday of the month beginning July 13. Unlike the majority of local vendor gatherings and markets that are held earlier in the daytime, The Starlight City Market will be open from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.— selling beer, of course.

Owner of Star City Brewing, Justin Kohnen, said the market is just as much about supporting great local and independent businesses as it is about getting one-of-a-kind gifts or goods.

“You can’t drink a beer, listen to local music, and eat something fresh and delicious while shopping at most places,” Kohnen said in a news release. “We wanted the Starlight City Market to be an event. Something unique to experience every month, right here in Miamisburg.”

In addition to local craft and food vendors, the Starlight City Market will feature free live music, a food truck, and Star City’s brews. Admission to The Starlight City Market is free.

Star City’s “Dry Lock IPA” is an east-coast style IPA, flavored with Centennial and Cascade hops, that has emerged as a brewery favorite among IPA drinkers, according to co-founder Justin Kohnen. JIM WITMER/CONTRIBUTING PHOTOGRAPHER (Jim Witmer, Contributing Photographer)
