The four-course meal, which will be created by Dublin Pub Sous Chef Melissa Deaton, will go hand in hand with a Macallan 10-year fine oak, Macallan 12-year double cask, Macallan 12-year sherry cask and a Highland Park 12-year.
Macallan, the No. 1 scotch in the world, will be represented by Ohio brand expert Lacey Massari, who will be educating those attending on the history of Scotch, the way its made and walking everyone through the flavor profiles paired with the food through the evening. The courses for the evening will compliment the scotches selected.
>> 5 bars that know their Scotch whiskey
A complimentary welcome cocktail will be served upon arrival.
The primary difference with scotch from other whiskey is the grain that they use to make it with and the location that it is made. Scotch is made with malted barley in Scotland giving it a unique flavor.

Jensen says the spirits that were chosen for this women driven culinary event are perfect to get started with for those looking to learn more.
"Dayton has a wonderful community of women that love their whiskey," said Jensen. "This is the first 100 percent women and whiskey event. Going into the holiday season is the perfect time for people to taste and sample these spirits. The value on these events are amazing — four 1-ounce pours, a four-course meal, raffles, knowledge and meeting new people."
