On Saturday, July 4, Cedar Point will be hosting its annual Light Up the Point event. Though the celebration won’t be taking place inside of the park this year (the park is still closed and is set to reopen on July 9), guests will be able to view the popular fireworks display from the parking lot outside of Cedar Point.

Cedar Point is located in Sandusky, located on the shores of Lake Erie and close to popular tourist destinations including Kelleys Island, Put-in-Bay, Port Clinton and Marblehead.

In the past, spectators could view the display in all its glory from inside of the park. This year, however, organizers have moved the viewing area to the parking lot to keep their guests amid the coronavirus pandemic.

This year, the ticket sales will be donated to The Sandusky State Theatre, OH Go and Second Harvest Food Bank of North Central Ohio.

The Light Up the Point fireworks display will also be set against a patriotic soundtrack and will be broadcast live on Sandusky’s 102.7 FM.
