On Friday, Jan. 25 and Saturday, Jan. 26, 2018 at 8 p.m. in the Mead Theatre of the Schuster Center, the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra will present the third concert in the 2018–19 Kettering Health Network SuperPops Series, Cirque Musica: Crescendo.
>> Dayton arts organization wins one of state’s top prizes
Cirque Musica’s Crescendo is a symphonic theatrical production combining a stirring musical performance from the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra (DPO), under the direction of Artistic Director and Conductor Neal Gittleman, with the physical feats of international cirque artists.
Cirque Musica has traveled the world blending the majesty of two wonderful artistic traditions: cirque artistry and symphonic music. The Dayton Philharmonic and guest violinist Veronica Gan will perform some of the great classical works from composers such as Tchaikovsky, Korsakov, Smetana, Holst, Mussorgsky, Beethoven, Copland and Wagner. And the renowned physical artists of Cirque Musica will interpret the music physically as no one else can.
>> Everything is better with bacon! Dorothy Lane Market will sizzle at this weekend’s Bacon Fest
You’ll be on the edge of your seat as cirque performers and music soar through the Schuster atmosphere - a feast for both your eyes and your ears!
