Puppies to party on Oregon District restaurant's patio

Pooches like patio time, too.

Lily’s Bistro, 329 E Fifth St. in Dayton’s Oregon District,  is giving  people a shot to party on its patio with their pooches. 

The restaurant’s next Patio Puppies event will be held from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday, May 17.

Emily Mendenhall, Lily’s general manager and co-owner, said she’s more of a cat person, but she get barking excited about dogs, too.

Lily’s is partnering with SICSA Pet Adoption Center which will have representatives and dogs on site.

Ten percent of proceeds will be donated to SICSA.

The event will be held on the restaurant’s sidewalk patio and feature themed happy hour drink and dinner specials for people and cinnamon roll gourmet dog treats for the pooches.

“We always say we welcome well-behaved dogs on the sidewalk patio,” Mendenhall said. “We have a lot of staff that have dogs and a lot of our customers have dogs.” 
The restaurant also has events for cats.
