Put on your best Santa costume for charity during the 14th Annual Santa Pub Crawl

Santas, rev up your reindeer.

Hundreds of jolly elves, Santas and other holiday merrymakers will celebrate the season in the Oregon District this weekend during the 14th Annual Santa Pub Crawl on Saturday, Dec. 14, from 4-9 p.m.

“The holiday pub crawl is a benefit for Toys for Tots,” said Jeff Jackson, the event’s organizer and co-founder of Planned2Give, a local organization that helps plan events for nonprofits. “We partner with the Marines and either [donate] $10 and we’ll shop for you, or you can bring an unwrapped toy worth $10 and give back to the community.”

This year, the list of participants include Blind Bob’s; Dublin Pub; Hole in the Wall; Ned Pepper's; Newcom’s Tavern; Oregon Express; Toxic Brew Pub; Troll Pub; Trolley Stop; Tumbleweed and Wiley's Comedy Club.

You can purchase crawl cards at Dublin Pub, Oregon Express or Troll Pub. Those who pre-register will earn a free drink at any of the participating bars. 

“If you do pre-register, you get a complimentary beverage and also a holiday pretzel bite with the purchase of a Great Lakes Christmas Ale at Troll Pub,” Jackson said.

There will be a costume contest with prizes for best Santa; best Mrs. Claus; best couple; best group (three or more); best large group (six or more); sexiest female Santa; sexiest male Santa; best non-Santa Christmas character  and best overall costume. The contest will take place at Wiley’s Comedy Club at 6 p.m.

Punch cards will be distributed. 

To earn prizes at the end of the night, you’ll need to have your card stamped by eight out of the 11 locations you visit throughout the night.

Where: Various locations in the Oregon District. Registration starts at The Dublin Pub, Troll Pub and Oregon Express. Costume contest at  6 p.m. at Wiley’s Comedy Club. Other participating locations: Blind Bob’s; Hole in the Wall; Ned Pepper's; Newcom’s Tavern; Toxic Brew Pub; Trolley Stop and Tumbleweed. 

Cost: Bring a $10 unwrapped child’s toy or donate a minimum of $10 to get your crawl card. Register here for your crawl card.
