3 reasons LadyFest Dayton isn't just for ladies

The first thing you need to know about the LadyFest celebration happening at Yellow Cab this Friday and Saturday, Aug. 28-29, is that the event isn't just for ladies.

Don’t be fooled by the name. While the festival itself is a celebration of women in the arts, it seeks participants from all genders.

Come ready to hear some of the best live music from Dayton and neighboring cities, and to enjoy an awesome party in support of female empowerment.

Even better than the fun you will have is knowing your attendance is contributing to a good cause. This year, the LadyFest will be donating a bulk of the proceeds to WE CARE ARTS.

Check out this blurb written about the charity organization on the LadyFest Facebook page:

"We Care Arts is a place where people with disabilities learn independence and build self-esteem. Those with emotional, mental and/or physical disabilities can come to our facility and create artwork which fosters confidence and empowerment. Disabilities we serve include mental illness, brain injuries, strokes, aneurysms, birth defects, Down Syndrome, autism, developmental disabilities, Asperger Syndrome, Cerebral palsy, physical and mental abuse, dyslexia, ADD/ADHD, Alzheimer’s Disease, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, depression, OCD, memory loss, agoraphobia, schizophrenia, diabetes and other conditions." -
