Sip whiskey and munch on donuts for a good cause

A carefully planned pairing of whiskey and donuts is happening for a good cause.

Indian Creek Distillery is hosting Whiskey & Donuts from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 6 to benefit Be The Match, the national bone marrow donor registry. Local creators of both whiskey and donut have teamed up to make the event possible.

The event originally sold out, but a limited number of tickets were added, organizers told us in a Facebook message.

"The donut loving fun seekers at Tour de Donut will be offering a flight of four whiskeys from Indian Creek Distillery, thoughtfully paired with a donut each from The Farmhouse Bakery in Troy," according to the event's website. "An extra special addition: Purebred Coffee in Troy will be on site with their whiskey barrel roasted coffee. Come explore Indian Creek Distillery and the 200-year-old Staley farm as we pair Whiskey and Donuts."

Tickets are $25 and includes four whiskey tastings and four donuts and coffee. This event is “come and go as you please,” and guests can arrive anytime after 1 p.m. Tickets will only be available for purchase until 11:59 p.m. on Friday, April 5 and are limited.
