Spooky concert to help get you in the Halloween spirit

The Dayton Art Institute’s annual Halloween Spook-tacular concert will provide musical chills Sunday afternoon.

The concert, performed on a recently restored Skinner pipe organ, will accompany six short films featuring monsters and spirits suitable for all ages.

Organists from the Dayton chapter of the American Guild of Organists will perform the scary musical selections at 3 p.m. in the Mimi and Stuart Rose Auditorium.

The Skinner pipe organ was installed when the museum was constructed in 1928-29 and is one of only a handful still in existence according to the DAI website.

The concert is included in museum admission for non-members and free for members.
