When tacos battle tacos and BBQ squares off with BBQ, we all win.
Besides breakfasts, food trucks will duke it out in battles of barbecue, tacos, sandwiches, veggie entrees and Asian dishes.
“All of them (the battles) are going be ongoing through the month,” said Brian Johnson, spokesman for Dayton Food Truck Battles.
Two trucks will compete at each monthly battle.
The first war will pit Smokinbeebeeq vs. Smokin Barrels.

The first round of Battle of the Barbecues is set for 5-10 p.m. Thursday, May 17, at Yellow Cab Tavern, 700 E. Fourth St. in the Oregon District.
As with the other battles, the truck that sells the most will win the challenge and receive bragging rights, a sticker and a trophy.
The winning truck advances to the next round and will fight to retain the trophy.
“It’s all about supporting small businesses and giving them recognition,” Johnson said.
The additional battles are being scheduled.
