Who has the best veggies in Dayton? These food trucks are about to battle to find out

When food trucks go to battle, we all win

Organizers of last year’s successful Battle of the Breakfasts series have added a list of new food truck battle categories to their lineup this season. Here’s what you need to know:

“A new monthly food truck event, the Battle of the Vegetables is one in a series of Dayton Food Truck Battles, pitting two food trucks against each other in a no holds bar battle! No meat in sight and vegan options, it's a fresh fight!” according to a Dayton Food Truck Battle Facebook post. “The truck with the most sales will carry on to the next round against a new sandwich competitor on the fourth Thursday of each month.”

HOW IT WORKS

As with the other battles, the truck that sells the most will win the challenge and receive bragging rights, a sticker and a trophy.

The winning truck advances to the next round and will fight to retain the trophy.

“It’s all about supporting small businesses and giving them recognition,” Johnson said.
