The Yellow Cab Tavern will host 26 local crafters and artisans while they sell their creations and demonstrate their craft at the 8th annual Dayton Crafty-Con in conjunction with First Friday festivities on April 5 from 5-10 p.m. Admission to the event is free and open to the public.
“We’re happy to showcase the talent and creativity of local crafters for the Dayton community. And this event allows us to really focus on the craft-making process itself with live demonstrations from each of the vendors,” explains Crafty-Con coordinator and Yellow Cab Tavern owner Tara Moore.

THINGS TO DO
“We’re excited to continue one of our most popular features of Crafty-Con: a swag bag giveaway for the first 25 shoppers full of handmade items crafted by the vendors,” fellow coordinator Wendy Wagener-Harris said.
Shoppers can also try their hand at creating their own crafts by checking out the “de-stash” booth where Crafty-Con vendors will offer up their extra supplies for purchase. Funds from the de-stash booth will go to local charity Grassroots Enrichment and Wellness Center.
“This year we thought we would do something a little different and offer shoppers the opportunity to try a new craft themselves with the de-stash booth. We’re also excited to support Grassroots – they are a fantastic local charity doing great things for children in our community,” said Crafty-Con coordinator Gail Pop.
FOOD & DRINK
Local food truck Drunken Waffle will be on site while Yellow Cab Tavern offers up plenty of craft beer and hand-crafted cocktails for purchase at the event.
