This weekend is your furry friend’s chance to meet Santa and participate in a holiday cookie contest

The holiday pet party of the year is just days away.

Pups and cats want to get in the holiday spirit, too. That’s why SICSA’s Paws to Celebrate Winter Festival happening from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. this Saturday is the place to be.

Santa will make an appearance for photos, there will be plenty of family-friendly activities, a traditional pet blessing and a holiday treat contest. Attendees can also purchase luminaries to honor or memorialize a pet or human loved one at the event where all of the luminaries will be displayed. An order of five or more luminaries will qualify for a free SICSA 2018 holiday ornament. To register a pet or loved one on a luminary, visit sicsa.org

There is a $5 participation fee for entries in the cookie contest. Participants should bring at least a half-dozen of whichever treat they choose to make. To register for the contest, visit sicsa.org
