‘Unlimited’ wine samples, hors d’oeuvres to highlight Roost anniversary

Roost Modern Italian in Dayton’s Oregon District will celebrate its 5th anniversary with a special open-house-style wine-and-food event from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 16, at the restaurant at 524 E. Fifth St.

The event will be hosted by Roost owner Dana Downs. Here’s how an online events page describes the celebration:

“Chef Dana and the staff are excited to team up with Wine Trends, Heidelberg and Vintner Select (wine distributors) in offering unlimited tastes of wines from around the world; additionally, Roost’s bar staff is ready to whip up some special celebratory cocktails for your enjoyment. We will be serving a huge variety of heavy hors d’oeuvres, as well as charcuterie and fine cheeses.”

“Tickets are $85 per guest, and include a whole night of unlimited food and beverage.”

The restaurant will clear tables and chairs for the party, which will also include raffle prizes.Valet parking will be available at the front door.

Roost completed an 18-month expansion in 2015 that doubled the restaurant’s size and more than doubled its seating capacity.
