The city will also host entertainment acts throughout the picnic.

Friday’s headliner is Justin Bryan, who follows a fly-in from Start Skydiving. The Distance is Saturday’s headliner. Other entertainers for the weekend include Just Us, Meg Renee, Lauren Kelly and Soul Express.

The event concludes with the Brookville Fireworks that begin about 10 p.m. on Saturday. The fireworks are sponsored by the city.

“We are so proud of what we have made of this little ‘picnic’ that started 68 years ago and has grown over the years to be one of the biggest events in the area, definitely in Brookville,” said Angie Dull, member relations to the Brookville Area Chamber of Commerce.

The community picnic starts Thursday at 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., Friday from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. It is located at Golden Gate Park on East Upper Lewisburg Salem Road.
