3 ways to dress up and party like it's Halloween this weekend

Channel a little bit of Halloween spirit this weekend with these events that let you celebrate in costume.

A GALACTIC AFFAIR 

The Dublin Pub, 300 Wayne Ave. in Dayton's Oregon District, will host a Star Wars party featuring a performance by il Troubadore and the Wookiee Cellist  at 7 p.m. today (Dec. 9) in advance of the premiere of  "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story."

It is the second time the pub has thrown a party in advance of a Star Wars movie.

The U.S. Marines will collect toys and donations for Toys for Tots.

HARRY POTTER'S YULE BALL

Break out those wands and dress robes. Barnes & Noble is hosting a Harry Potter Balls around the the country.

The location near the Dayton Mall, 2619 Miamisburg-Centerville Road, Miamisburg,  will hold its party at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 9.

According to the Facebook event page, this "spectacular magical holiday celebration inspired by the Yule Ball of 'Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire'" will include "costumes, holiday attire, music, dancing and special themed crafts."

Book donations to the Dayton Children's Hospital are requested.

CRAWLING SANTAS 

Santas, Grinches and all sorts of other elfs will crawl during Oregon District Santa Pub Crawl Saturday starting at 5 p.m.

Unwrapped $10 child's toy or $10 donations will be accepted for  the U.S. Marines' Toys for Tots campaign.

Get your passport stamped by all the bars and enter to win door prizes. Registration begins at 5 p.m. at The Dublin Pub and Oregon Express. A costume contest will be held at Blind Bob's.
