Yellow Cab ‘invites the community to be together as one’ at Brunch Food Truck Rally today

***UPDATE (Aug. 4, 2019)***

The Yellow Cab Tavern announced in a post on its Facebook page that it would still host its August Brunch Food Truck Rally despite the deadly mass shooting that happened at 1 a.m. in the nearby Oregon District.

“We are deeply saddened by the news that hit us this morning about our friends and neighbors, and our hearts go out to all those affected by this tragedy,” the event’s organizers said in the post.

“We have debated all morning about what the appropriate response is in relation to our Brunch Food Truck Rally this morning and we have decided that we will still host the event.

Our space is a safe space and we invite the community to be together as one in any way you need to be. We will be accepting donations for the victims and their families.”


This month’s event will feature some Dayton favorites, as well as some special treats, including The Wicked Lobstah, which won the Best Foodie Food Truck Award at the Whitehall Food Truck & Fun Fest last weekend.

Every first Sunday of every month April through October, Yellow Cab Tavern (700 E. 4th St., Dayton) will host Brunch! A Food Truck Rally.

The Yellow Cab hosted another one of its monthly food truck rallies on Friday, July 19. Street food, live music and shopping at The Night Market are part of the fun. This month the trucks that attended were El Meson, Smokinbeebeeq, Greek Street Food Truck, The Wicked Lobstah, EAT, Cupzilla-Korean BBQ, Thai1On, Bella Sorella Pizza, Cheezy Creationz and Billie Gold Bubble Tea.
