SNEAK PEEK: Get a taste of what’s to come during Summer Restaurant Week

Restaurant week is a marathon, not a sprint.

With more than 45 restaurants participating in the Summer Restaurant Week promotion, which runs July 21-28, there isn't enough time in the week to come close to sampling all of the specialty menus being rolled out. The key to making the most of it is to formulate a strong plan.

One of the easiest ways to do that is to attend the Sneak Peek to Summer Restaurant Week. The event will feature dishes from 14 restaurants.

Tickets are $20.19 in advance for the July 17 event and can be purchased online.

Not only will guests be the first to sample the Summer Restaurant Week menus from more than a dozen restaurants, but it will help expedite a game plan for the week ahead.

"We chose this week in the summer, because the summer months are typically a little slower especially during their off-peak times due to family vacations and summer break. This a way to get diners out supporting our restaurants in the community. I have a handful of patrons call me each year months in advance that plan their vacations around summer restaurant week," said Amy Zahora, executive director of the Miami Valley Restaurant Association (MVRA). "It’s a wonderful deal and the customer may try a different restaurant that they would have never tried before."
