County fairs are a well-loved tradition in many communities. Here's a list of the Miami Valley region's county fairs.

 WHEN: July 24-30, 2016. Gates open 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.
 WHERE: The Butler County Fairgrounds, 1715 Fairgrove Ave., Hamilton, OH 45011 COST: General Admission per day: Adults/$8, Children 6-12 accompanied by paying adult – gate only/$3, Senior Citizen, Veterans, Wednesday, July 27 (age 62)/Free; Membership Ticket (Seven-day admission & parking)/$35, 7-day Pass – 7-Day Admission and Parking/$30; 4-Day Pass – 4-Day Admission and Parking/$20. Additional fees for Grandstand Admission.

 WHEN: July 22-29, 2016. Gates open 8 a.m.-10 p.m.
 WHERE: Clark County Fairgrounds, 4401 South Charleston Pike, Springfield, OH 45502 COST: General Admission per day: Adults/$7, Children 5 and under/Free; Family Pass/$75, includes 2 adults and all children up to age 8 (does not include ride tickets); Parking (non-reserved): Per vehicle, per day/Free; Membership Ticket/$30 – Good for re-admission daily, and includes daily admission to the fair, Exhibitors ticket and voting privilege for the annual election of directors to be held on Thursday, July 28, 2016 on the Fairgrounds. Tickets can be purchased only by Clark County residents of voting age; Exhibitor/Privilege Ticket/$30 – Good for re-admission daily, and incudes daily admission and unlimited entries; Exhibitor Ticket/$5 – for making an unlimited number of entries. DARKE COUNTY FAIR WHEN: Aug. 19-27, 2016. Gates open 7 a.m. to Midnight
 WHERE: Darke County Fairgrounds, 800 Sweitzer Street, Greenville, OH 45331 COST: General Admission/$7; 9-day membership/weekly pass/$20
 INFO: Featuring live entertainment, food, rides for kids of all ages, harness racing, animal shows, tractor pulls and much more.

GREENE COUNTY FAIR WHEN: July 31-Aug. 6, 2016. Gates open 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
WHERE: Greene County Fairgrounds, 120 Fairground Road, Xenia, OH 45385
COST: General Admission $6 per person; Wed. Aug. 3, Senior Citizens & Veterans $3 each.

LOGAN COUNTY FAIR WHEN: July 11-16, 2016. Gates open 7:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. 
 WHERE: Logan County Fairgrounds, 301 East Lake Ave., Bellefontaine, OH
 COST: General Admission/$5 for ages 6 and up, Monday through Thursday and $7 on Friday & Saturday; Children 5 and under/Free. Season passes/$20 (on sale at the Fair Manager's Office). Parking on the grounds is $2. INFO: – Veteran's Day: All veterans showing proof of service will be admitted free. Wednesday – Senior's Day: Seniors will be given $3 special pricing. Admission price includes complimentary breakfast and lunch and a multitude of special activities. Thursday – Kid's Day: Children will enjoy special ride pricing until 5 p.m.

MIAMI COUNTY FAIR  WHEN: Aug. 12-18, 2016, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
WHERE: Miami County Fairgrounds, 650 N. County Road 25-A, Troy, OH 45373 COST: General Admission per day/$5; children 8 and under/Free. Exhibitor Passes/$$15 for 7 daily passes available to exhibitor's showing at the fair. Golden Anniversary Pass/Free - available at the fair office for any couple who has been married for 50+ years. Husband and Wife must both be present to receive pass. Jr. Fair Booster - $35 for 7 daily passes Includes name in following year's Fair book and also on a sign at the fair. Jr. Fair Pass – for 7 daily passes - available to all Jr. Fair exhibitor's entered in 4-H, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts or FFA. MCAS Membership/$25 - must be 18 years of age and reside in Miami County; includes voting privileges at the annual election. 

MONTGOMERY COUNTY FAIR WHEN: Aug. 31-Sept. 5, 2016. Gates Open Wednesday - Sunday 8 a.m.–10 p.m., Monday 8 a.m.–8 p.m. Commercial Exhibit Buildings Open Noon–10 p.m. daily (except Monday at 8 p.m.). Opening times, closing times and prices may vary without notice. WHERE: Montgomery County Fairgrounds, 1043 South Main Street Dayton, Ohio 45409
 COST: Daily Admission: $8/person, age 6 & under free with paying adult. Includes parking if available and Grandstand Event for that evening only. Wednesday-Thursday & Friday Admission is $4 until 4 p.m. INFO:

PREBLE COUNTY FAIR WHEN: July 30-Aug. 6, 2016, 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
 WHERE: Preble County Fairgrounds, 722 S. Franklin St., EatonOH 45320 COST: General Admission: $6 per person; Children 8 and under – Free. Free parking.
 INFO: Camping, County Idol, Demolition Derby, Tractor Pull, ATV Drag, Rodeo, Tug a Truck, Lawn Mower Derby, and so much more.

Individual Admission: Monday, $5 per person; Tues., Wed., Thurs., Fri. and Sat., $8 per person; Children 8 and under – Free. Membership or Season Tickets - $25 per person. These tickets offer unlimited admission throughout the week of the Fair. Parking is always free.

OHIO STATE FAIR WHEN: July 27-Aug. 7, 2016. Gates open 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Sun. Aug. 7 gates close at 7 p.m. Rides open at 10 a.m. daily.
