ARTEMIS CENTER’S ST. PATRICK MARDI GRAS GALA
A Mardi Gras celebration to benefit the Artemis Center, Dayton’s domestic violence resource agency. The evening begins with cocktail hour including two complimentary drinks and hors d’oeuvres, followed by a cash bar. Cocktail attire is recommended, and Mardi Gras masks and hats encouraged.
“Founded by a small group of women, often working without pay, Artemis was to provide services beyond the traditional housing and safety offered by shelters,” according to its website.

O’Conners Irish Pub
O’ Conners will mark its 10th St. Patrick’s Day starting on Friday, March 16 with the band Full Frontal at 9:30 p.m. and the Tullamore Dew girls handing out samples of the whiskey and other giveaways. The cover charge is $5.
The pub will open at 10 a.m. on Saturday with more live traditional Irish music from Black Thorne and Laurel, followed by local cover band The Temps, noon to 4 p.m. The cover charge Saturday is $10.
Other live entertainment will include Celtic dancers and bagpipe music. The 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. timeframe is aimed at families.
An outdoor all-you-can-eat Irish buffet featuring corn beef and cabbage, cabbage rolls, Irish stew, bangers and mash, shepherd’s pie, green beans and mashed potatoes will be available.
There will also be drink specials throughout the day, giveaways from Jameson Whiskey and Olive Vodka and March Madness games will be televised.
