Not only did the downtown Dayton brewery of five years place first in both “Best Local Brewery” and “Best Locally Made Beer” categories, Warped Wing piled on by capturing the most online votes for “Best Craft Beer Selection.” The brewery offers only its own beers at its tap room, but that beer menu was popular enough to earn Warped Wing a nomination and the most votes in the category in which Barrel House, which offers beers from around the world, placed second and Dayton Beer Company, which offers its own beers plus beers from other Ohio-based breweries on its tap list.

And Warped Wing also captured third place for “Best Locally Made Beer” for its Ermal’s Cream Ale, in the category won by its own Trotwood Lager. Yellow Springs Brewery’s popular Boat Show IPA placed second in the category. Considering that more than a dozen craft breweries have opened in the Dayton area in the last six years, producing dozens of selections.
