BEST OF DAYTON: Help crown the Dayton sandwich king

Is it lunchtime yet?

Here’s to hoping a perfectly layered, toasty, melty, cheesy, messy, flavor-packed sandwich is in your future.

Dayton is home to some mighty fine sandwich creations. But which one deserves the crown?

>> FINAL COUNTDOWN: How to cast your vote in’s Best of Dayton contest

We asked the public to nominate their favorite sandwiches on Dayton menus. Those with the most nominations now appear on the ballot, which is up for vote through Friday, Feb. 7.

The reigning champ from the 2018 contest is Canal Street Arcade and Deli’s The Champ, a sandwich stacked with grilled roast beef, corned beef, baby Swiss, horseradish cheddar, sauteed red onion, banana peppers and Thousand Island dressing on hot-pressed bread.
