For the Recital Series and Family Series, small DPAA ensembles have taken the stage in the PNC Arts Annex and recorded concerts live and in person together (using social distancing) for the first time since March. The Replay Series features three previous DPAA performances, with brand new photo and video presentations to accompany the recorded music.
“The DPAA is thrilled to be offering the these nine virtual concerts we are calling Summer Streams, virtual recitals and educational programs from the artists of Dayton Ballet, Dayton Opera, and the Dayton Philharmonic,” Pat McDonald, President and CEO, Dayton Performing Arts Alliance, said.
“I am so proud of our team for the collaborative effort they have shown in providing innovative programming during this unprecedented time,” she continued. “Our mission has been and continues to be to transform lives with the power of music and dance, and we will continue to find a way to do just that, even if we cannot all be together in person in our venues right now.”

All the performances will be available online for 45 days after the premiere dates listed below.

This summer concert series is a wonderful way to experience the Dayton Philharmonic, Dayton Opera and Dayton Ballet, since the coronavirus has forced theaters to close down for end of their 2019-2020 season. The closure has affected the DPAA greatly due to lost revenue from cancelled events.
