Dayton, the Wright Brothers and a mole-man part of strange ‘Comedy Bang! Bang!’ tale

Dayton — or something not like it at all — had a starring role on one of the nation's most popular comedy podcasts.

Host Scott Aukerman and comedian Jason Mantzoukas chat with a 17-year-old Dayton girl (really Thomas Middleditch) on the episode of "Comedy Bang! Bang!" podcast  that debuted Feb. 24.

The girl, Kaitlin So Phreash (Fresh) spins an unusual tale involving a mole-man, chemical burns and a portal.

Kaitlin, a YouTube star who loves pop culture,  proudly says she is from Dayton, the home of the Wright Brothers. She gives some questionable stats about Dayton’s population and the number of kids who disappear here annually.

At the end of the “Stranger Things” like episode, “Lil’ Choices,”  Aukerman and Mantzoukas are all about visiting Kaitlin’s version of Dayton.

“I would love to go to Dayton,” Aukerman said.

The podcast also includes references to Ohio native and astronaut John Glenn and pizza pants.
